Yousif Ahmed Al Mutawa is the CEO of Sharjah Sustainable City and is leading the project's global positioning as a benchmark for sustainable living. As an Emirati national and proud Sharjah resident, Al Mutawa has devoted his career to Sharjah's development into a major culture, tourism, and sustainability player in the region. He began his career in 2006 as a project manager for Shurooq, where he worked for 14 years in a variety of strategic leadership roles, including project management, property management, operations, and investment management. "The primary objective was to establish a residential project adhering to the highest standards of social, environmental and economic sustainability. The city is a dynamic and forward-thinking entity committed to creating a globally recognized development that positions Sharjah as a preferred real estate investment destination within the region," said Al Mutawa in a recent interview. Al Mutawa holds a bachelor's degree in e-commerce from the Higher College of Technology - Sharjah and is a certified Project Management Professional and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
