Omar A. Al Futtaim serves as the Vice Chairman and CEO of Al-Futtaim Group (AFG), a leading and innovative family business conglomerate headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In his role as Vice Chairman and CEO of this third-generation, privately-owned enterprise, Mr. Al Futtaim oversees the growth and development of AFG across five key sectors: automotive, financial services, real estate, retail, and health. Today, AFG operates in over twenty markets across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia, employing more than 42,000 individuals. With a career spanning three decades, Mr. Al Futtaim has held various leadership roles. Before joining Al-Futtaim Group, he gained experience in investment banking at Morgan Stanley in both New York and the United Kingdom. His entrepreneurial spirit, unwavering customer focus, and relentless pursuit of excellence have been instrumental in AFG's success, allowing the company to adapt to the evolving needs of its customers and markets. Mr. Al Futtaim also holds chairmanships and board memberships in several public organizations, including the Commercial Bank of Dubai, Orient Insurance PJSC, Emirates Investment Bank PJSC, and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he chairs the Al Futtaim Education Foundation, the Group’s non-profit education initiative. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Macalester College in Minnesota, USA.
