Mona Ghanem Al-Marri has established an impressive career in media and strategic communication, while also playing a prominent role in promoting women's empowerment and expanding their participation in society. She is regarded as one of the most influential young leaders in Dubai and the UAE, holding numerous leadership positions in the media industry. These include Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office, President of the Dubai Press Club, Secretary General of the Arab Journalism Award, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Arab Media Forum, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Arab Social Media Pioneers Summit, and member of the Emirates Experts Program. In addition, she chairs the Dubai Council for the Future of Media, which is part of the "future councils" initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to shape the future of vital sectors in Dubai over the next 50 years. In 2003, Al-Marri began her career in women's empowerment and support when she was chosen by Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as her deputy in the presidency of the Dubai Ladies Club. She also played a vital role in founding and developing the Dubai Women's Foundation, where she currently chairs its board of directors. In 2015, she assumed the position of Vice President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance. Her professional achievements and pioneering role have earned her recognition on the World Economic Forum's list of Young Arab Leaders for 2014. The Forum also granted her membership in its Global Agenda Councils.
