Sheikha Dana Nasser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah was appointed KIPCO’s Group CEO in 2022 and has been a board member since 2020. She is the founder & chair of the board of trustees of the American University of Kuwait (AUK) and chairperson of United Education Company. By Q3 2023, the group reported $126.7 million in net profits and held $38.6 billion in total assets. In April 2023, KIPCO agreed to sell its GIG stake to Fairfax Financial Holdings for $860 million. Al Sabah previously led Al Futtooh Holding Company and founded the American University of Kuwait. She chairs United Education Company and serves on the boards of Gulf Insurance Group, OSN, and Kamco Invest. Sheikha Dana holds an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters from Dartmouth College in the US and a BA in English literature from Kuwait University. She also studied at Indiana University in Bloomington in the US.
